Yes, where permitted and with owner approval, dogs with reliable recall may hike off-leash. We assess recall before any dog goes off-leash, and we keep dogs leashed until they are ready.
How many dogs are in each pack?
Pack size varies depending on the dogs, the route, and the day. Groups are kept small and matched by temperament, energy level, and play style.
What if my dog has never hiked before?
That’s completely fine. Many dogs start with us that way. Over time, they build confidence, learn from the other dogs, and become more comfortable on the trail.
Which trails do you hike?
We rotate between local trails throughout West LA and the Santa Monica Mountains based on the weather, trail conditions, and what works best for the pack.
Is my dog a good fit?
Every dog starts with a meet-and-greet so we can learn about their temperament, energy level, recall, and comfort around other dogs. Some dogs may simply not be the right fit for group adventures.
